Kasra djalayerHaving accrued more than three decades of professional expertise, Dr. Kasra Djalayer, MD, MSc, EMBA, FACP, FABOM currently excels as the chief of medicine at Golden View Healthcare Center and Lafayette Medical Center in New Hampshire, roles he commenced in 2021. Prior, he served as a physician for Families First from 2018 to 2021. Before joining Families First, Dr. Djalayer gained valuable expertise in the industry as a primary care physician at Gifford Medical Center and as a locum tenens hospitalist with Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital, New London Hospital, Rowan Court and Health & Rehab Center, where he served as medical director, and Brattleboro Hospital in Vermont.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Djalayer worked with Franklin General Hospital in New Hampshire and Jewish General Hospital in Montreal, Canada. In the early 2000s, he was a specialist in internal medicine at Lakeshore General Hospital and was affiliated with McGill University Concord Health Center and Weeks Medical Center. Dr. Djalayer was also the director of the diabetic program in a private practice in Madrid, Spain from 1990 to 1994. Today, he continues to he highly regarded as an expert consultant in the field of internal medicine and rheumatology, as well as an aging expert and hospitalist.

In his academic pursuits, Dr. Djalayer earned a Doctor of Medicine from Complutense University of Madrid during the late 1980s. Over the years, he received a Master in Executive MBA, and a Master in International Masters for Health Leadership from McGill University, as well as a mini Master of Business Administration and a diploma in advanced and executive management from McGill University. Dr. Djalayer also attained a postgraduate sub-specialty diploma in rheumatology and clinical immunology from the University of South Wales and board certifications through the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Obesity Medicine. He also completed a residency program in internal medicine through Yale-Griffin Prevention Research Center, a fellowship in rheumatology and clinical immunology through the University of Vermont, with advanced rheumatology through Harvard University, and a mini-fellowship in geriatric medicine and aging process through Stanford University.

Reflecting upon his career journey, Dr. Djalayer’s career highlight was receiving multiple Patient’s Choice Doctor Award and the Most Compassionate Doctor Award from 2011 through 2015. He is also honored to have received a Letter of Appreciation from President Obama in 2012 for his achievements in medical school and leadership and to be named to the Top Five Percent of Physicians in the United States, among other accolades. Dr. Djalayer attributes his success to persuasiveness, dedication, hard work and overcoming barriers in life. Looking toward the future, he aims to continue to help improve the U.S. health system and advocating for all patients in need of medical assistance.
